Why should I use a protein supplement?
-
Protein supplements offer numerous benefits and can be a valuable addition to your diet and fitness routine. Here are some reasons why you might consider using a protein supplement:
- Convenient and Time-Saving: Protein supplements provide a quick and easy way to increase your protein intake, especially for individuals with busy schedules or limited access to whole food protein sources. They can be easily mixed into shakes or smoothies, making them a convenient option for post-workout recovery or when you're on the go.
- Muscle Recovery and Growth: Protein is crucial for muscle repair and growth. After intense exercise, your muscles need a sufficient amount of protein to recover effectively. Protein supplements, particularly those containing high-quality sources such as whey or casein, provide a readily available source of amino acids, the building blocks of muscle tissue.
- Enhanced Sports Performance: Athletes and fitness enthusiasts often have higher protein requirements to support their training goals. Protein supplements can help meet these increased demands, aiding in muscle development, strength gains, and improved athletic performance.
- Weight Management: Protein is known to promote satiety and help control appetite. By including a protein supplement in your diet, you can feel fuller for longer, which may reduce cravings and prevent overeating. This can be especially beneficial when trying to lose weight or maintain a healthy body composition.
- Nutrient Profile and Variety: Protein supplements come in various forms, including whey, casein, soy, pea, and others, each with its own unique nutrient profile. This diversity allows you to choose a supplement that aligns with your dietary preferences, allergies, or specific nutritional needs.
- Convenience for Vegetarians and Vegans: For individuals following a vegetarian or vegan diet, meeting protein requirements solely from plant-based sources can sometimes be challenging. Protein supplements derived from plant sources can help bridge this gap and ensure an adequate protein intake.
It's important to note that while protein supplements can be beneficial, they should not replace whole foods as the primary source of nutrition. They are intended to supplement a balanced diet and should be used in conjunction with a healthy lifestyle, regular exercise, and a variety of nutrient-rich foods. Consulting with a healthcare professional or registered dietitian can provide personalized guidance on incorporating protein supplements into your diet effectively.

Why are sugars so high?
-
Our meal replacement shake provides no added sugar. Around 8g of the sugar is coming from the 37.5g of powder and around 12g is naturally occurring in the 250ml of skimmed milk.
The recommended intake of sugar in the UK is 90g per day in total, so 2 shakes will still be less than half of this.
-
-
Can you mix the meal replacement with water?
-
We advise the product to be taken with skimmed milk to ensure you meet your nutritional requirements.
-
-
Are meal replacement shakes and protein shakes the same?
-
Meal replacement shakes are designed to replace entire meals. While they often have high protein levels, they differ slightly from traditional protein shakes. These drinks might have enough calories to replace meals, but some shakes are more suitable after a workout.
